Structured, evidence-based instruction designed to support every learner.
At Mindalk, every classroom follows a consistent, research-informed instructional model that ensures clarity, engagement, and strong learning outcomes. Our teachers use explicit teaching, purposeful practice, and responsive support so students know exactly what they are learning and how to succeed. By following a predictable lesson flow across the school, we create a calm, focused environment where all students can build understanding, practise new skills, and confidently apply their learning.
Our instructional model follows five clear stages that guide both teaching and learning. We begin by mapping the learning pathway, where teachers plan sequenced content, define learning objectives, and prepare success criteria. Each lesson opens with Engage & Focus, activating prior knowledge and showing students what successful learning looks like through exemplars and real-world connections. Teachers then move into Explore & Apply, beginning with I Do modelling, followed by We Do guided practice, and finally You Do independent practice with increasing responsibility. Lessons end with Review & Demonstrate, where students reflect on their progress, revisit success criteria, and identify next steps. This structure builds confidence, strengthens memory, and ensures learning is both deep and transferable.
Our instructional model creates a clear, supportive flow for every lesson, helping all students stay focused, confident, and successful.
