At Mindalk learning is an adventure where every student is supported to explore, discover and grow. We value responsibility – towards ourselves, one another and our community. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone is respected. Together, we build a place where learning thrives and every learner belongs.
‘Mindalk’ is a Bunurong/Boonwurrung language word meaning “wombat”. It is pronounced ‘MIN-dulk’.
Our logo draws its form from the contours of Mount Atkinson, connecting a strong sense of place. This arrangement has multiple meanings with its layered lines echoing the rings of a tree stump symbolising growth and wisdom.
The logo also represents an individual thumbprint – subtly showing individuality, identity and inclusion. This symbol is a connection to the environment and a celebration of our uniqueness – fostering community, adventure and learning growth.
At Mindalk, learning is purposeful, engaging, and built to last. We use evidence based teaching methods grounded in how the brain learns best, through clear instruction, regular practice with feedback, spaced repetition, and connecting new knowledge to what students already know.
At Mindalk Primary School, wellbeing is central to our vision for every child to learn well, feel well, and do well. We create a safe and inclusive environment where strong relationships, emotional development, and a positive sense of belonging are prioritised.
Schools provide students with free instruction and ensure students have free access to all items, activities and services that are used by the school to fulfil the standard curriculum requirements in Victorian Curriculum F-10, VCE and VCAL.
The CSEF helps ensure that no student will miss out on the opportunity to join their classmates for important, educational and fun activities.
School policies provide clarity, consistency and safety for everyone in our learning community.
Mindalk believes in creating a supportive learning environment where every child can thrive. Our dedicated teachers guide students through engaging and transformative educational experiences.
We acknowledge the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nation, who are the Traditional Owners of the land where our school is located.
We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We show gratitude to the Bunurong people who have cared for and maintained Country for thousands of years. We recognise the Bunurong people’s continued connection to Country; land, water and sky.
