We nurture a safe, inclusive and caring environment where every child feels valued, supported, and ready to learn, grow, and thrive every day.
At Mindalk Primary School, wellbeing is central to our vision for every child to learn well, feel well, and do well. We create a safe and inclusive environment where strong relationships, emotional development, and a positive sense of belonging are prioritised. Through evidence-based approaches such as School Wide Positive Behaviour Support, Positive Classroom Management Strategies, explicit social-emotional learning, and consistent values aligned expectations, students develop the skills to build resilience, solve problems, and support one another. When students feel safe, connected, and confident, successful learning follows.
We implement wellbeing support through our Multi-Tiered System of Supports, guided by evidence-based frameworks including the Berry Street Education Model and Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships, and through strong connections with organisations like DOTS. Our approach aligns with the Personal and Social Capabilities in the Victorian Curriculum, helping students build emotional regulation, resilience, and positive relationships. We work in partnership with families and liaise closely with NDIS and external allied health services.
We explicitly teach expected behaviours aligned with our school values, supporting students to make positive choices and build respectful relationships every day.
Positive Classroom Management Strategy. Creating consistent, calm and supportive learning environments where every student can learn.
Breakfast Club, proudly supported by Foodbank Victoria, offers students a nutritious meal and a friendly place to connect before learning begins.
Our Breakfast Club is a free and inclusive program that ensures every student can start the day feeling calm, connected and ready to learn. Students are welcomed into a friendly space where they can enjoy a healthy breakfast, chat with friends and settle into the school day.
